30 Days to return products other than Quotes
Unless noted under the items description, or on a quote, etc., items purchased on our website (this does not include quotes) may be returned within 30 days of ordering. We must receive them back within this time. Log in to your account to start the process but make sure you review our policies to ensure that your items will qualify for returns and the provisions we require as well as any fees that we may levy for returns If you checked out as a guest and did not create an account, email us at NotJustStones@Gmail.com and wait for our response. .

Please log-in to your account to start the process within 5 days of receiving the wrong item and we will provide you with instructions. We do not exchange wrong products received, for another product that is different than the one originally ordered.

Customer Returns Products, Items are Damaged, Altered and other changes or issues to a product have happened after shipping; including jewelry re-sizing, removing tags, attempting to remove gems or otherwise; opening packages, partially using products, etc. Including removing security tags; And the information was not previously told to us by a customer when they initiate a return or have sent products back to us that may contain issues.

We may refuse returns if any of the above noted matters are discovered when we receive parcels. In such case, we will contact you to arrange return shipping at your cost.  If you do not arrange for the return shipment of such matters, we will as noted in these policies turn any unclaimed property, over to the State's Unclaimed Property division as required under the law.

Unclaimed Property and Refusal to Arrange for Return Shipping of products - Failure to Claim Monetary Reimbursements

In cases where we contact a customer to arrange shipping back to them, and they do not arrange for the return shipment, including paying for the cost; we will turn unclaimed property, over to the State's Unclaimed Property division as required.  If the matter consists of an unclaimed payment, check or otherwise that we sent to you and it came back, we may deduct postage fees from the payment as well as $150.00 USD for time in dealing with turning the matter over to a State's Unclaimed Property Division.  These deductions will be reflected on an invoice turned over with payment; made payable as prescribed by the Division and applicable law.

Suspected Damage to Returned Parcel
If a package or parcel looks to be damaged once it is delivered to us, we may refuse the package. In cases where we paid for the return shipping and insurance, we will note the damage and contact the shipper for claim filing. In such matters; we fully appreciate cooperation on your part to resolve the matter. We are not responsible for items in transit to us. This is a good reason to insure products when given options to do so. Unless we first approve it in writing, delays, not resulting in our error, may not delay return time limits. If we refuse a parcel for damage, it will not stop the time limit. Until we have physically accepted it into our possession and start review of the contents, we will not consider the return received. Returning a parcel to you unopened by us, or refusing a parcel from a shipper, due to damage or otherwise, is not considered accepting it. Accepting parcels, takes into account that we review the contents of the parcel to determine if the return qualifies under our policies. And if they do not, we may return the items to the customer at their cost.

Initial Shipping or insurance may not be refunded unless the error is clearly ours. If we paid any portion of shipping, insurance etc. we may deduce it from returns.

Payment Processing Fees

We may deduct payment processing fees we incur for processing a payment by Credit Cards or other forms of payment from a return. We may also deduct fees from any refunds, including unforeseen currency exchange fees, tariffs, taxes, or otherwise. We not deduct fees if the return is due to our error or if we are reimbursed for the fees.

Miscellaneous Charges paid by Not Just Stones

Any fees, or other costs we incur, including any out of pocket fees (+25% Markup), except noted in our policies or the product descriptions, to ship your items, may be deducted from refunds. This includes but is not limited to fees such as courier services, insurance, shipping, special packaging, gift wrapping, if requested, or otherwise. Normal shipping packaging fees that we pay for, shipping boxes, gift wrapping, bubble wrap etc. is not included unless you request it when ordering. Add-on fees may fall under Return Exceptions.

Return Shipping to Not Just Stones and Insurance

If the return is not the result of our error, and unless note in writing, customers must pay the cost of the return shipping, insurance etc, to us. We suggest you insure your items and use a reputable tracking service.

All items sent to you with the product, including gifts, free items, product boxes (ring boxes, etc) or otherwise accompaniments, must be returned in the same condition. We may deduct out of pocket costs (+25% Markup), for non returned or damaged and altered items from refunds or for items that show signs, not limited to wear, misuse, alteration, or other other issues. We may refuse a return if problems exist when customer returns items.

Unless we note otherwise in our Policies, or in the items description, or as a part of a quote, In cases where a Grading Report, Certificate, Appraisal, Value Estimate, etc., came with the product, not limited to a report provided by Not Just Stones, we may deduct up to $300.00 (or replacement cost +25%) whichever is greater for each such original document not returned by a customer or documentation showing mutilation, alteration, tampering, damage etc. This is in the case where these items were included with the original product and was not an add-on that the customer took it upon themselves to purchase. Add-ons fall under Return Exceptions.  No damages no tears, no rips, no coffee or other spills or stains, included on them. Documentation must not shows signs of tampering, mutilation, alteration, or damages.  Copies of originally sent documentation may not be accepted. Certificates etc. that have been altered, forged, etc. may result in contacting an agency that deals with the documentation. or result in legal matters.

If necessary, before we approve a return, an exchange, or otherwise, or provide you with an address etc., we may ask for pictures, information, and otherwise, to ensure a smooth return process. We may refuse or limit matters for failure to comply with any reasonable request of information that provides us with data to decide whether items may qualify for returns. This applies in all cases, whether it was the wrong product received or not. In a case where the request will require spending money to comply, we may discuss options; including reimbursed fees, prepaid fees, or otherwise. We may also make arrangements to pay fees directly to the requested source providing the service. Any fraud or abuse of prepaid fees, or other abuse or fraud under this or other sections of our Policies, including but not limited to not using fees for intended purpose, may result in legal or other action.

In some cases, these are not always written in stone. Even so, you may email us to see if we may even buy them back from you. We are easy people to deal with. So keep this in mind when looking at these exceptions. We may find an acceptable solution.

The following listed items are not qualified for automatic returns. Unless otherwise noted under Return Exceptions, please contact us by email at NotJustStones@Gmail.com before you return items. All
refunds where applicable, will be at our discretion.  They may be in a monetary payment, gift certificate, exchange, or a store credit and will be determined on the individual circumstance.


  • Damaged or Mutilated items. Includes Scratches, tears, and other damages.  If items are damaged during shipment, SeeShipping Polices, Liability and Claims.

  • Sale Items. All items that are on sale at time of purchase are sold as is.

  • Re-sized Items & Non-Stock Size Items. If you choose to have us re-size an item (such as a ring, necklace, or otherwise), or if you choose a size other than a stock size shown (such as for rings, necklaces, bracelets or other) the item is a custom order. Stock sizes may include such wording as approximate standard size.  Choosing any other size would make it a custom made item and not returnable.

  • Choosing Finishes and engraving.  If you choose to have a finish applied to jewelry or other products, or choose engraving for a product, this will make the item a custom made order and not returnable.

  • Choosing different metals.  If you choose to have items completed with different metals, they are custom made and not returnable. For example, the product comes in Platinum.  However, options are provided to have the product made in white gold instead. If you choose white gold instead of platinum, other than the standard metal that is sold; such items are made to order and not returnable.

  • Used Items or discolored. Items have been used by a customer or are discolored are not returnable.

  • Discounted and Discontinued Items. Not returnable.

  • Wholesale, clearance, as is, made to order, custom made, final sale, sold as is, or similar wording, including but not limited to items that note. Not Returnable.

  • Solder. All types. Not Returnable.

  • New Tools and Equipment. Not Returnable.

  • Used Tools and Equipment. Not Returnable.

  • Books, DVD's, CDs and other similar educational materials. Not Returnable.

  • Hazardous and flammable materials. Do not send these items back under any circumstance unless you have received an okay from us. Not Returnable.

  • Waxes and Wax Type Products. Includes Casting Wax. Not Returnable.

  • Glues, adhesives, epoxies, liquids, coloring agents, all liquid based substances including but not limited to flux, Liver of Sulfur, Tarnish removers, Pickle Solutions (both liquid and other), and all type of cleaning agents, solvents and other hazardous or otherwise; Borax and other. Not Returnable.

  • Bare Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals and stock including wire, round, plate, sheet, casting grain, unfinished metal blanks (these are metals used for stamping or blanks that may be used as Pendants among others. Many times they are used as back plates for bezels etc.). In many cases, Metals noted such as sheet, wire, and blanks, are cut to order.  Not Returnable.

  • Metal Bullion products. That are not yet fashioned into products, such as Rings and Earrings. Not limited to bars, rounds,and blanks. Includes but not limited to Gold, Silver, Sterlium, Platinum, Rhodium, Palladium, Argentium, Copper, Brass, Alternative Metals, Mixed Metals, and other. Not Returnable.

  • Add on Options. Please note, except where stated in a description, or on a quote, add on items, that change the look, size, or the original cost, or otherwise, of the item originally being sold, may disqualify a return as Custom made. This may include but is not limited to Resizing, etc. Both the add-on and the product it pertains to is a custom order and cannot be returned.

  • Special Orders and Requests by customers including matching stones (no perfect matching is guaranteed), disqualify from returns, the Special Order and Request as well as the product that it pertains to are not returnable.

  • Made to Order and Custom Made Orders. All types including for use in Jewelry and any type of finding, Mounting, Setting, etc., or where the customer has a choice to choose to set stones, diamonds, minerals, products or otherwise, into a mounting or setting with a gemstone, diamond, pearl, opal, coin, rough, or otherwise. Sold as is. No returns. We may buy back the product at our Spot Metal or other pricing.

  • Partially Used Products or opened product packages. All Products with their original packaging, must be unopened, unused & undamaged. And tags or security seals must not have been removed or tampered with. Obvious signs of tampering, mutilation, damage, use, etc. may void a return. You may ask us to buy back such items.

  • Quoted Items including Diamonds, Jewelry, Gemstones, Metal and otherwise. All items received as part of a quote are subject to the Quote terms and must be in the same condition received and include all packaging, unopened if that is the case, security tags and seals must not be tampered with or removed. Any damages may void returns. You must email us at NotJustStones@Gmail.com within 5 days of receiving these products to request a return. Please wait for our response. Do not send any items back as part of a quote until you have been provided instructions.

  •  Loose Diamonds, Gemstones, Minerals & Rocks that come with Reports or Certificates. You may ask us to buy back such items. Items include diamonds, gemstones, beads, mineral and rocks. Not limited to strung or unstrung, Pearls, Opals, Diamonds, Loose Gemstones, Beads, Jade, Man made, CZ, etc. (man made, or natural stung or unstrung). These are items that are not yet mounted or set into jewelry and sold with any type of report included. Grading report, appraisal, lab report, Not Just Stones or other valuation reports, certificates, and otherwise. This includes items under our serialized diamond or gemstone sections or items that come with any type of report indicating it's authenticity, natural abilities, valuations, costs, or otherwise.

We are not responsible for items in transit that you ship back to us that does not use an address specified in these policies for returning items and/or where you do not use any other address that we may provide to you. Unless we approve it in writing to you; shipping to the wrong address will not delay return time limits.

Many products we sell, including metals, fluctuate quickly, and if we agree to return otherwise not-returnable items, or items that are noted under our Return Exceptions; we may quote a price for returning them after associated fees are taken into account. Fees can change as noted in these policies once we receive the items and they are not as you described them to be. We will honor a quote for the time stated; contingent on the items returned being as described. If you do not return items within the time noted, we may cancel it and refuse a parcel. You have 10 days after we give you a quote to return items to us. We must receive them within this time. If situations change during the quoted time frame, and we are unable to honor a quote, once you have shipped products back, we will notify you by email that we are returning items back to you. In such case, you will receive a check from us equal to the cost of your shipping the items to us, plus  25% markup on the shipping costs; along with the items returned.

Refund Processing Time Frames and Methods of Payment

When it comes to refund time frames, if we have agreed to accept returns, or where our policies for such returns, keep in mind, that as soon as we receive a return, we can process it and contact you if necessary for other information. We strongly suggest, regardless of the time limits noted by our policies, for logistic purposes, or unforeseen delays, that you initiate returns as soon as possible as we are not, as noted by these policies, responsible for delays. All returns, after deducting necessary fees, except where otherwise noted, will be credited back to the purchasing customer in the form of a store credit, an exchange where applicable or monetary refund as noted by these policies. See below. In applying a return, once processed, we will provide you a breakdown of all fees that were deducted to reach the final amount. Store credits are not transferable to other customers, without our approval, and must be used within 1 Year of being credited. Unless we first approve it in writing, there will be no cash or other refunds given in lieu of store credits. Approving and Sending out a credit, or providing a refund, can take 1-5 or more days after we receive the product, inspect it and perform necessary checks. Any delays due to issues that may arise in processing a return, can extend the process.

Once a return is finalized, we will send an email. Store credits will be credited as soon a practical after the return process is finalized. An Exchange will be shipped to the customer after processing is done. As the exchange is due to an error on our part, we will pay shipping + insurance to ship the order. If a monetary form of refund is provided under our policies or we decide otherwise (in lieu of store credits or exchanges) to provide such method for a return, we will (at our sole discretion) submit a check to the original paying customer after processing the return and pay for the postage to do so; or credit the original payment source. If a cancellation is available at the time, and we agree to cancel an order, refunds will be issued (at our sole discretion) in the form of a Check or Crediting the Original Payment Source as noted below.

Checks may or not include tracking. Crediting payment sources may take a few days or more, to show up and be cleared by a processor. Processing times can vary and we are not responsible for any delays once we have submitted the credit to the processing source. (Paypal, Amazon, Credit Card, etc). All payments will be made to the original source. If not available, we will submit a check payable to the Original Customer to the address we have on file.

Items enter production and shipping stages, once payment has been received. After this time, there are no cancellations. Refer to our Return provisions above for items and how to return them.

Once Orders are placed – Items enter shipping and production stages.  Cancellations are not allowed. Refer to our Return provisions above for items and how to return them. We may deduct shipping and other fees we have paid for the parcels that we are not reimbursed for.

Not Just Stones, at it's sole discretion (and without providing reasons or forewarning), may cancel an order, or any part thereof, before it is dispatched. Sometimes we do this to prevent fraudulent orders and when our Fraud Department has advised us to do so. If an order has already been been paid for, once the order or portion of the order, is canceled, the payment source will be credited, pro-rated for the actual canceled amount, or a refund given within the terms of our policies, as soon as practical thereafter. Paid Shipping or other matters, taxes, etc. that were paid at the time, for the items or order that has been canceled, will be refunded on orders or parts thereof, pro-rated to actual cost, once canceled by Not Just Stones. In cases where there is a stock issue, we may notify a client and attempt to offer a suitable replacement at or greater in value before cancellation if finalized. We may also provide discounts in cases where there is a stock issue. We may provide coupons as well  to make up for our oversight.

The more information you provide to us, the faster the process will be. No one likes surprises and we will work with you; if you work with us. We value you as a customer and will do our best to ensure a smooth and easy return experience; but it is paramount that we are on the same page throughout this endeavor. And to avoid delays or fees; it is vitally important that you adhere to our Returns Policy for Time Limits, Return Exceptions and otherwise.
